| January 28th, 2009 |

The third instalment in the Tomb Raider
movie franchise has been confirmed by Warner Bros., according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Paramount Pictures previously made Lara Croft: Tomb Raider that came out in 2001, grossed a nice $275 million worldwide.
Its sequel Lara Croft: Cradle Of Life that came out in 2003 earned a more modest $157 million.
But the films rights to the Tomb Raider property have since reverted back to Eidos Interactive.
When Time Warner Entertainment increased its shareholders stake from 16% to 19.92% in Eidos Interactive on December 15th 2008,
the films rights to the property were included as part of the deal.
Terminator Salvation's Dan Lin will produce the new movie, which is in early development, with Stephen Gilchrist co-producing
and Eidos's Ian Livingstone executive producing. Matt Reilly is overseeing for Warner Bros.
No cast has been announced yet but insiders have tipped Megan Fox to take on the role made famous by Angelina Jolie.
